Abstract

It is common for librarians of any ilk to sometimes feel overwhelmed by the seemingly endless barrage of information coming at us. New technologies promise to ease the information overload and help us to streamline our life, but who has time to learn how to incorporate these when we can hardly manage our workflow as it is? For business librarians, these feelings of overload can be compounded by the nature of the discipline itself-business never sleeps, so why should we? How do we manage to keep up with nonstop business news, stay abreast of the professional literature, keep pace with the changing databases and other resources, meet the increasing demands from our administrators, patrons, and clients and just get through our day-to-day tasks? This article presents a few strategies for keeping up and an annotated bibliography highlighting a number of resources that business librarians can use to help them stay current and informed about the business reference world.
