Abstract

The article discusses the Indian art of sari draping. In the past, women wore dhotis just as men did. From the fourteenth century onwards, women's clothing started to develop in a different way from those of men. Most saris fit into families, which means they follow certain ways to drape. The article details the draping of the Dravidian and Tamil saris.
