HSE strategy targets paper industry.

The article reports on the British Health & Safety Executive's campaign to improve health and safety in the paper making, corrugated packaging and recovered paper industry. The three-year strategy, entitled Making A Difference 2008-2011, will build on a previous strategy that ran from 2005 and led to a reduction in the sector's overall reported nonfatal injury rate by 22 percent. The new strategy has set a target for reducing annual injury incidence rates from the current figure of around 1,170 per 100,000 employees to fewer than 850.
