Abstract

The article presents binocular vision problems in adults. Patients are either those with asthenopia, those with strabismus with or without diplopia and those with amblyopia. With asthenopia, a patient is treated with office-based vision therapy and home-based computer exercises. Patients with amblyopia are usually prescribed the HTS amblyopia program. Fresnel prisms are prescribed to either eliminate or decrease diplopia symptoms, while ground-in prism and supplemental vision therapy are prescribed for older paretic strabismus to enhance binocularity.
