Abstract
- The article reports that the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) has issued recommendations for eliminating the abusive practice of soring in Tennessee Walking Horses. According to the article, soring involves inflicting pain to create an extravagant or exaggerated gait in horses for training or show purposes. The practice is prohibited by the federal Horse Protection Act of 1970.
