Abstract

The article discusses the use of air cooled condensers (ACC) in reducing water consumption in a power plant. The dry cooling system is preferred by plant developers since it accelerates the processing of construction permits due to water issues. ACC are widely used in countries such as North America, Belgium and China. With the use of ACC, a plant does not need to be located near a water source due to various plant options available.
