Bupropion in the treatment of adjustment disorder.

The article examines the use of bupropion as an effective and safe treatment alternative for patients with adjustment disorders, which are states of subjective distress and emotional disturbance, usually interfering with social functioning and performance. Adjustment disorders arise in the period of adaptation to a significant life change or a stressful life event, and manifest as depressed mood, anxiety or worry. A case report of a male patient with adjustment disorders is presented.
