Abstract
- The article reports that Harvard University received $125 million from medical-device billionaire Hansjorg Wyss making the endowment the largest one-time gift in the history of the institution. Mr. Wyss graduated from Harvard Business School in 1965. He already provided $25 million to the business school in 2004 for doctoral projects. The Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering will be renamed after Mr. Wyss according to the school. The focus of the center is on synthetic biology such as biological materials and devices.
