Epigenome dynamics: a quantitative genetics perspective.

Classically, quantitative geneticists have envisioned DNA sequence variants as the only source of heritable phenotypes. This view should be revised in light of accumulating evidence for widespread epigenetic variation in natural and experimental populations.
