What's New in Pedagogy Research?

The article presents a study entitled "An Exploratory Study of the Role of Performance Feedback and Musical Imagery in Piano Playing." The authors of the study have investigated what kind of feedback and musical imagery advanced pianists used when they played from memory. They examined eight advanced pianists from the Royal College of Music in London, England. The study showed that the kinaesthetic representation of the music and the presence or absence of kinaesthetic feedback affected the pianists' performance consistency.
