Abstract
- The article provides information on the Pāṇini Grammar Award. The award was introduced by the Association for Linguistic Typology in 2006 to encourage and recognize achievements in the area of documenting the world's linguistic diversity through the writing of descriptive grammars. In order to qualify for the award, grammars need to provide a systematic, accessible, comprehensive, original, insightful, and typologically well-informed account of the workings of the language being described. The first award was presented to Patience Epps for her paper "Grammar of Hup."
