SINDH ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN: A REVIEW.

Sindh Archives Information and Archives Department (SALAD) Were established under the Department of Education, Government of Sindh in 1976. Only a few researches have been conducted which provide scanty information. Even no edited work, leaflet, brochure or newsletter was published from the inception to date. This article is an effort to introduce the archival repository and the unsung asset of SAIAD through its history and development during the last 31 years. Most of the information has been obtained from the unpublished materials, personal observation and personal communication. The paper provides an insight into the history, building, objectives, organization, archival records' contents, library and related development projects of SAIAD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
