"The Magazine That is Considered the Best in the World": Muriel Spark and the "New Yorker."

An essay on writer Muriel Spark's relationship with the "New Yorker" magazine is presented. Comments on her writing career, Scottish literature, her autobiography "Curriculum Vitae," and the history of the magazine are offered. The magazine considered publishing her writing in 1959, and Spark's relationship with her editor developed.
