Abstract

The article discusses the use of Web 2.0 tools to facilitate learning and communication between students and teachers. Web 2.0 tools facilitate digital learning, which consists of communication, collaboration, creativity and community. Among the most popular Web 2.0 activities enjoyed by teachers and students are blogging, microblogging and podcasting. Some of the terms described are wikis, blogs, image editing, podcast, social bookmarking, social networking and vlog. A list of tools useful for teachers and students is presented, including Blogger, Flickr, Visual Thesaurus and Picasa.
