- The article presents the author's opinion on the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) Consultation Paper. The author questions the initiative's suitability for a discipline like the philosophy of education and presents objections relating to the evaluation of the quality of research, research quality indicators, and the types of behavior the initiative hopes to encourage.
