Abstract
- IN summer and early fall, when outings to East End wineries are in full swing, Long Island wine enthusiasts can simply drive to their favorites to find out what's going on. In cold weather, though wineries remain open for tours and sales, sometimes with shortened business hours, armchair research can be more practical. The most efficient place to check the off-season picture is www.liwines.com, the address of the Long Island Wine Council, a trade association. It lists the wineries and their Web sites, which advertise events and display current wines, with prices. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
