Abstract
- The article reports on the completion of the acoustic and vibration testing for the first U.S. Air Force Space-Based Infrared System (Sbirs) spacecraft bound for geosynchronous (GEO) orbit on October 17, 2008 at Lockheed Martin's Sunnyvale, California. Sbirs prime contractor Lockheed Martin delivered an interim block of software that will be used for Baseline Integrated System Testing, which is required to characterize the performance of GEO-1 prior to launch.
