Abstract

The article reports the first example of the evolution of total enantioenrichment of the solid phase for an essential amino acid mediated by solution-phase racemization. According to the authors, the results show that the emergence of a state of solid-phase single chirality for a proteinogenic amino acid may be achieved in a near equilibrium process even in the absence of mechanical energy.
