Abstract: The article features the mural painted in the playground at P.S. 59 Community School in Bronx, New York City. The mural is created as part of the school's involvement to the New York Cares Day in October, 2008. The project was to replace the old graffiti with a mural of self-portraits on individual fence pickets. The theme of the mural was based on Ann Johnson's article "Friendship Fence" in the February issue of "School Arts." Details on the preparation of the mural are presented.
