Abstract: The article discusses the highlights of the Fourth National Conference on the State of Canadian Bibliography in 2008. The conference is aimed at the opportunity to explore the legacy of the its project, History of the Book in Canada/Histoire du livre et de l'imprimé au Canada (HBiC/HLIC). Information is given on some issues raised in the conference, including the interdiciplinary nature of book history, periodization, and the role of bibliography in book history.
