Abstract

The article focuses on the science program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It is said that the program gives data that help shape the pollution control regulations. It is also said that science program at EPA encounters tight budgets which will leave the agency ill-equipped to address future environmental problems. It is suggested that president Barack Obama administration can do to better EPA science by increasing its transparency.
