Abstract
- The article discusses the court case "WMS Gaming, Inc. v. WPC Gaming Productions, Ltd.," wherein the defendants chose to ignore the lawsuit, resulting in a default judgment. In the case, the Seventh Circuit decided the appropriate amount of profits to be awarded to a trademark holder for the willful infringement of a trademark. It mentions that this case illustrates the dangers in not responding to a trademark infringement lawsuit, joined with making financial information available for public.
