Abstract
- The article reports on the possibility that the research on holographic impedance funded by the U.S. Air Force could lead to the development of advanced antennas that will give aircraft improved aerodynamics. Accordingly, the research is being conducted under the Air Force Office of Scientific Research contact by HRL Laboratories in Malibu, California. HRL's researcher Daniel F. Sievenpiper said that a unique technique similar to how people make hologram is used and that they can potentially make antennas that are completely flush with aircraft surface.
