Abstract

The article states that a post-mortem report has disclosed that the world's most powerful particle collider, known as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), will not restart prior to July 2009. The machine is located at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) near Geneva, Switzerland, and repairs may cost as much as the equivalent of 29 million U.S. dollars.
