Abstract
- The article discusses the export plans for military airplanes under the administration of President-elect Barack Obama. Obama is reported to review the U.S. Air Force's focus on buying stealthy fighters, leaving Boeing's F-15 and Lockheed Martin's F-16 production lines reliant on foreign customers. One industry source suggests that the Air National Guard might be interested in considering buying more F-16s or F-15s as its current inventory ages. The U.S. Navy is figuring how to avoid a shortfall of 69-125 aircraft in its fighter fleet.
