Abstract
- The article reports that the U.S. Army has restarted efforts to field a modern Aerial Common Sensor (ACS) intelligence aircraft via increments. It states that the forthcoming ACS will have room for payload growth, correcting a major shortcoming of a Lockheed Martin proposal. Colonel Rob Carpenter states that the primary focus for ACS Increment I is for a low-risk sigint package and connectivity to unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
