The article assesses the degree of terrorist activity in India in the wake of the November 2008 terrorist attack in the city of Mumbai. The author notes that the event was uncharacteristic in that it targeted foreigners and the wealthy, while the majority of India's significant number of terrorist acts have been borne the less affluent. Examined are terrorist activities conducted by religious and political groups throughout the country.
