Sağlık Teknikerleri Meslek Eğitiminin Sektörel Değerlendirilmesi.

Professional education is one of the fundamental means of the multi-dimensional development. In health sector, one of the profession groups carrying the significant load of the sector is health technicians. The services provided by health technicians are the indivisible or indispensable part of health services. The aim of this study was to enable both health technicians and their chiefs to evaluate the effect of the education that health technicians receive on the working life and performance. In this research, the likert type questionnaire was applied to the health technicians working in 12 hospitals in Trabzon, who were graduated from colleges or vocational schools. The obtained results were analyzed by a statistical programme, SPSS. It was seen that both health technicians and their chiefs agree on the sufficiency of the knowledge, experience and self-confidence of the health technicians who graduated from vocational schools. Therefore, strengthening the vocational schools of health sciences will contribute positively to provide modern health service and to meet the educated manpower in this sector. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
