Abstract

An essay is presented on the excellence in teaching food science and technology. It highlights on the author's gratitude for having been awarded the William V. Cruess Award from the Institute of Food Technologists, recognizing her achievements in teaching profession. In addition, it discusses on the role of teaching and learning, as well as learning and teaching. Furthermore, it deals on the objectives and outcomes of teaching, regarding its benefits to the students.
