Abstract

This article explores empirical intersections in communication studies and research. The authors reflect on the importance of programmatic research and identify replication as the most important type of intersection. This article explores mixed methods research and intersections of quantitative and qualitative research. The authors contend that an interdisciplinary approach is needed in communication studies. Other topics include methodological aspects of cultural indicators in research, meta-analysis, and data collection analysis.
