Sleepiness in Medical ICU Residents.

The article reports on the study concerning sleepiness in medical residents at the intensive care unit (ICU). The Accredition Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) tries to deal the issue by issuing work limitation standards in 2003. The study uses modified multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) and Stanford Sleepiness Scale to measure sleep. It points that the results shows ICU residents despite lessened work hours presents severe degree of sleepiness post-call.
