Abstract

The article discusses a case study on balloon tamponade of hemorrhage after uterine curettage for gestational trophoblastic disease. The bleeding of the patient was controlled successfully using intrauterine tamponade performed through a balloon catheter. The study indicates that intrauterine balloon catheterization seems to be a promising alternative to control uterine hemorrhage while preserving fertility.
