Abstract
- The article focuses on the Faster Payments Scheme (FPS) in Great Britain. FPS is a domestic Pound Sterling electronic payment process that provides 24/7 customer service which is low-cost and nearly instantaneous, available through the Internet and telephone banking channels of FPS member banks. The process of the system and its implications to the payments market in Great Britain are also discussed.
