Anterior retraction of the prostate during robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy using the closure device.

The article provides information on anterior retraction of the prostate during robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) for prostate cancer. Among several techniques for anterior retraction of the prostate, it is said that the percutaneous insertion of a suture through the eye of the catheter proved to be an effective and efficient procedure during robot-assisted LRP. Photographs which demonstrate how the techniques is conducted are provided.
