Abstract
- The authors comment on the study about the relationship between the pattern of Neotyphodium spp. endophyte infection frequency and the gradient of grazing pressure by pikas and hoary marmots in Canada. They propose that the effect of herbivores on infection frequency might be through phenotypic traits and interaction with other environmental factors. They also show the relation of relative fitness to herbivory deterrence.
