Abstract
- The article focuses on a research conducted by Samuel H. Kress Fellow Linda Meiberg on figural motifs on Philistine pottery and their connection to the Aegean world. Meiberg noted that the figural motifs on the Philistine wares are faithful in particular aspects of style to earlier and contemporary pottery from the Aegean world. Moreover, the individual elements were not employed because these were just a few of the stylistic convention that were transmitted to the southern Levantine coast.
