Abstract
- The article examines the effect on funeral homes in Detroit, Michigan of the decision of the "Detroit Free Press" and "Detroit News" newspapers to home deliver print editions only three days a week. This means newspaper readers unwilling to visit the papers' Web sites could miss the obituaries and funeral notices of friends and neighbors. Funeral home owners say they will depend on word-of-mouth advertising of funeral services.
