Abstract
- The article offers information on the WiMAX device in the U.S. According to the article, laptop vendors have jumped all over the Clearwire launch with eight separate Personal Computers (PC) makers planning WiMAX-embedded notebooks by the summer of 2009. John Jackson, research vice president for CCS Insight, infers that it is easier to engage the cost of a WiMAX chipset in a $1000 laptop than a $300 handheld. Jackson added that WiMAX is concentrating on portable than mobile.
