Abstract
- The article examines China's economic policy. The financial crisis and global recession has slowed the country's effort to privatize most of its economy. Several private companies created from previously government-owned businesses have been forced to ask for government financial assistance. Ironically, these companies' stock prices often increase when the government intervenes in their finances.
