Abstract

The article reports on the survey conducted by the software products developer Oracle Corp. on the use of its security patches in companies The survey revealed that lack of corporate mandates to quickly install the firm's security patches may cause the exposure of Oracle database installations to jeopardy for extended periods of time. Oracle and the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) are said to be working together to encourage more immense adoption of policies for deploying patches.
