Abstract

The article examines the theories that the Realist, Liberal and Constructivist frameworks might offer to assess the probability of achieving Israeli-Palestinian peace. It discusses the Realist assumptions with regard to Israeli-Palestinian peace. It explains why Liberalism cannot determine whether and when there will be a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians. It relates the insight of Constructivism into the possibility of a two state solution, and the possible nature and timing of a peace agreement.
