Abstract
- The article offers a look at the effect of the enlargement of 2004 on the common commercial policy in the European Union (EU). It investigates the impact of Eastern enlargement on trade interests, policy preference aggregation and policy outcomes. The author argues that the growth of veto players has not halted the role of the Commission. He adds that such growth also increased informal processes and empowered large trading nations vis-à-vis smaller member countries.
