Abstract

The article explores the role of the video sharing web site YouTube campaigning in Australia's federal election of 2007. It examines the kind of material political parties posted on the web site and its difference from the television advertising campaigns of some political parties. The manner in which the YouTube phenomenon might serve as an aid for political scientists to better understand political advertising is also examined.
