In general, productivity which indicates the relationship between inputs and outputs, expresses the most efficiently usage of these inputs. In recent years, increasing interest on productivity, especially seeks the answer of "which factors affects productivity?". Several studies carried out for this purpose. In this respect, the aim of this study is to bring out the affects of foreign direct investment and trade openness on productivity. The relationship between productivity and trade openness has been investigated by cointegration analysis for 26 observations between 1980 and 2005 in Turkey. And then the relationship between productivity and foreign direct investment has been investigated by the same method. Thus, it is determined that, trade openness expresses %38.7 of the labour productivity and FDI expresses %19.3 of the labour productivity at the end of the twenty years period time.
