Costs of Providing Care for HIV-lnfected Adults in an Urban HIV Clinic in Soweto, South Africa.

The article focuses on the study on the cost of providing care for HIV infected adults in an urban HIV clinic in Soweto, South Africa. The study assesses the costs of initiating and maintaining patients on antiretroviral therapy, highlighting the program planning, budgeting and cost-effectiveness analyses. Methods and results of the study are included, concluding the high cost of treating HIV-infected patients in the month of initiation and lower cost for stable patients.
