Abstract
- The article focuses on the outlook of the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses (CATSIN) on the national accreditation of nursing and midwifery courses in Australia in 2010. CATSIN believes that the uniformity of university courses will offer an opportunity to influence course content for the benefit of each student nurse and midwife. CATSIN will impose a mandatory requirement for delivering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, history and culture subjects in nursing and midwifery courses.
