Abstract

The article discusses research being done to develop drugs that treat or prevent hearing loss. From 1999-2009, there has been increasing interest in developing drugs that prevent noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Other topics include discoveries related to cochlear pathology caused by noise exposure.
