Abstract
- The article reports on the plan of the city of Calais in France to sell itself as a pre-Olympics training destination for athletes. According to Dominique Dupilet, president of the northern department of Pas-de-Calais, the 2012 Olympics in London, England is the city's economic stimulus plan. It cites the move of Dupilet to create a special budget to refurbish stadiums, organize concerts and plan museum exhibits. It also notes that the hotels in Calais are 30% less expensive than in London.
