Abstract: This section offers news briefs and notices for the Arkansas Historical Association (AHA) as of December 1, 2008. Information is offered on the annual business meeting of the AHA to be held in Magnolia on April 24, 2009. Obituaries are offered for Cyrus A. Sutherland, former trustee and longtime member and Life Member Betty Becker Walt of Little Rock. Announcements for AHA awards for 2009 are presented, including Susannah DeBlack Award, the Gingles Award and awards for Arkansas county and local historical journals.
