Abstract
- The article reports on the announcement from activist investors Tim Barakett of Atticus Capital LP and the Children's Investment Fund LLP that they had ended an agreement to work together in pressuring German exchange operator Deutsche Börse AG to change its business model and potentially sell business units. In addition, Atticus has announced that it had reduced its stake to less than 3% of the voting rights of the German company. Shares of Deutsche rose 9.4% to €45.38 following the announcement on March 31, 2009.
